Welcome to Faraj Fund

Faraj Fund was established on 26 June 2009 through Ministerial Decree No. 300 for the year 2009 from the Minister of Social Affairs. The first article of the resolution states the provision of a "Relief Fund for the welfare of inmates in correctional and penal facilities, and their families," based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Ministerial Decree No. 305 for the year 2010 released on 23 June 2010 amended its name to "Faraj Fund“.

Chairman's Message

With God's will and blessing, Faraj Fund was established, thanks to the tireless efforts of the Ministry of Interior to embody the noble values of Islam towards helping inmates in correctional and penal facilities, and their families, and under the implementation of the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The fund represents the basic foundation of developing charity work to help indigent prisoners to overcome their debts through donations and restore stability to them and their families. As Prophet Mohammed (may peace be upon him) said: “Whosoever alleviates a needy person, Allah will alleviate in this world and the next.”

Success comes from God
